About this Project
This game guide was written for a private client.
The goal was to include basic tips, tricks and information to new Modern Warfare players, in an easy-to-consume package.
Guide Excerpt
Strike Package bonuses are awarded as you accrue Point Streaks. Gone is the old streak system that depended entirely on your kill count. Modern Warfare 3 uses an all-new Point Streaks system, which tracks your contributions to the team in lieu of just your pure kills. Here are some of the things that count towards Point Streaks:
- Killing an opponent
- Capturing an objective
- Assisting a teammate
- Defending an objective
When you reach a certain number of points, your Point Streaks reward will activate.
Naturally, every Strike Package accumulates Point Streaks in slightly different ways, and we’ll go into detail regarding how you can make the most of each one on the following pages. As a general rule, Assault’s rewards are engineered for offense, Support’s are for defense, and Specialist’s are for hardcore players comfortable playing the lone wolf.
Unlike Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops, your Point Streaks don’t necessarily reset on death:
- Assault: Streaks reset each time you are killed.
- Support: Streaks persist through death.
- Specialist: Streaks reset each time you die.
Any Point Streak reward you’ve earned in Assault or Support will persist through death. So, if you’re about to deploy a UAV and get mowed down, it will still be usable when you respawn.
